Today we celebrate the nurses who give so much ...of themselves to the patients who can’t say thank you.
We are not “just” nurses. We are an essential part of every veterinary team, and the care we provide matters 🧡
We monitor anaesthetics, calculate drug doses, place IV catheters, run diagnostics, assist in surgery, nurse critically ill patients, comfort frightened animals, support worried owners, clean up the messes, and somehow keep everything moving behind the scenes (we’re basically superheroes in scrubs)
We celebrate the wins, grieve the losses, advocate for patients who cannot speak for themselves, and pour our hearts into animals who may only know us for a moment of their lives.
And yet, veterinary nursing is still so often undervalued and misunderstood. Our knowledge, skills, compassion and hard work deserve to be recognised - not just today, but every single day.
To every vet nurse who shows up, even on the hard days, who goes above and beyond for their patients, and who continues to care even when they’re running on empty - we see you. We appreciate you. And we are so proud to be part of this profession alongside you 🧡🩺
